This song was somewhat inspired by the quote from Tim Keller - “The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.” As the opening verse states, I was contemplating the universal desire we all have to be known and loved. The chorus is taken from 1 John 4. I believe God’s definition of love, is the only true love. In a world full of claims of love, this song for me was a proclamation of the uniqueness and truth of God’s love.
